Some of you out there have a problem. You are an oversprayer. You are going around, choking people out with your fragrance and we don’t appreciate it. As part of your rehabilitation, I suggest you switch your application method. Maybe it’s time for you to stop spraying all together.
Often you can find your favorite fragrance in different formulations with differing application methods. There are of course dabber bottles, which are often sold at smaller sizes, and rollerballs. Both can help you target your application to points and likely reduce the overwhelm you create with your scent as you wander around.
The other option I’ve noticed is the solid perfume, which is perfect for travel because it can’t spill in your bag. I took the solid version Diptyque’s Do Son as my perfect beachy summer scent, and it work great.
Having a solid perfume also makes it easy to reapply fragrance throughout the day in a much more discrete manner. I can casually pull it out of my bag and apply to my wrists, without someone looking around judgmentally trying to figure out who sprayed something.
So if you are looking to find a lighter way to wear your fragrance or an easier way to travel and still smell good, think outside the sprayer.
