Japan. New Zealand. The Maldives. I am certainly planning to at some point head miles away to explore new lands. But as much as I want to travel overseas, I have to ask if I have really explored these shores.
It is easy for me, as an American, to take for granted the travel experiences that exist here. While I am not eschewing international travel, I want to spend some time getting know this country. There are so many states I haven’t visited of these United States. There is so much rich history, so many beautiful landscapes, and such an abundance of stories. I want to experience and cherish as much of it as I can.
