While traveling, I realized that I had completely forgot to bring moisturizer. Being right across from a shopping center, I decided it was the best time for me to try out some new face masks. And I certainly splurged in doing so by trying the Cle de Peau Intensive Brightening Mask. I used the product during the trip in the evening, and a few trips after to get a good feel for how it would affect my skin.
The first thing I would like to say about this product is that I noted that the package includes the paper/cloth mask without the extra plastic backing. Perhaps it was a tactic to reduce waste, perhaps it was because they didn’t feel it was needed. In either case, as soon as you rip open the foil, be careful as you take out and unfold the mask to avoid ripping it. I mean, I will say it’s fairly a strong material, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

To use the mask I cleansed my skin, put the mask on my face, and then left it as the last step in my routine for the evening. I will note the next day, people told me that my skin was glowing. That I believe is all the feedback I need. The product moisturizing enough on its own, but it would probably be enhanced by following up with the rest of your skin care routine.
A key ingredient callout in this mask is tranexamic acid. This ingredient has been shown to address post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and UV induced hyperpigmentation. The brand highlights their illuminating complex and 4MSK as well. If these are major skin concerns for you, give this a try to see if it helps.
Is this a product I would buy again? Yes, yes indeed. And if I weren’t so busy trying a large number of skin care products, I would likely make it part of my weekly or biweekly routine. Cle de Peau is a brand that continually gets the job done. I’m looking forward to trying more and more of their products.
