The three most important books to me

There are three books you need to check to get an idea of how my life is going. Even just a cursory glance will do. You can easily tell how successful I am based on how full each of those books are.

If my journal is empty and has gone untouched for several days, that is not a good sign. If I am not journaling, I am not processing my thoughts. When I journal, I gain the perspective I need on my past, present, and future.

If you see multiple blank dates in my planner, also not a good sign. When it is empty so is my day, and I struggled to get organized and stay on top of the things I know will make me successful. I know that planning ahead is the best way for me to have a chance at a productive day.

If you see my notebook of graph paper is full, that is actually bad sign. It means that I haven’t taken the time to tear out sheets and create a physical schedule for myself. Thinking through what my week will look like gets me to realistically consider what is possible for me.

A journal, a planner, and a notebook. Those three books are the tools I need to really evaluate and elevate my life.
