Initial thoughts on 111Skin’s lightweight day cream

Confession,  I came to know 111skin through their stellar face masks. I hadn’t given any thought to their other products, until now. My trial of their Repair Day Cream NAC Y²™ was my first time using any of their other product types. After using this product for a few days this is what I thought.

This was a short trial, just a few days, and inconsistently at that. I won’t be able to speak to long term impacts on the skin, but the brand claims this reparative product will improve the appearance of wrinkles, redness, and skin elasticity in just 4 weeks.  I can only tell you what my experience has been over few days of use and as someone with dry skin.

Lightweight moisturizing cream designed to firm and hydrate skin over time

Based on the product name, I kept to trialing this in the daytime only. This was the first product I put on my skin in the morning. I liked that it seemed to pair nicely with sunscreen and makeup. I didn’t notice any pilling or difficult blending. What I didn’t like was that it just isn’t moisturizing enough for my dry skin.

Well, I thought it did a decent job. I found it worked best for me when either layered over all the serums that were on my skin from overnight treatments or used as a based before I put on sunscreen. When I freshly washed my face and then applied the product, it just didn’t give me enough moisture to make it through the day without my skin drying out.

I personally didn’t like this product for my very dry skin. Maybe I needed to use the serum in addition to the moisturizer for best results. Perhaps, but this might not be the best moisturizer for me. But if you have normal skin, combo skin, just kinda dry skin, or are living in a hot and humid area, you might like this. It is a lightweight daytime moisturizer, and you might notice some results over time.  This might also work for you if you have oily skin, thought have a light version which might be better for you.

I really like the face masks from the brand and will keep using those, but I need some more experience with their serums and creams before I can form my thoughts on their product line overall.
