Willow & Water by Library of Flowers, a fragrance for grass lovers

It was nostalgia that drew me to spray the fragrance. I remembered Willow & Water from Library of Flowers as smelling of fresh cut grass. I wanted to return to those carefree days of playing in the field, overcome by the scent of fresh lawnmowing and open air. Because of how grassy it seemed, that fresh cut grass note turned me off from the fragrance. Now it called me back to return to a particular time and place.

Perhaps the bottle matured, or maybe it was me. Spraying it now, inhaling the scent, it seems much more balanced. I can detect the flowery notes instead of being overwhelmed by its greenness. While I would prefer this more well rounded combination any other day, today it disappointed me. That, of course, is unfair to the fragrance.

If you appreciate greener fragrances, green like a well cared for lawn surrounded by flowering bushes, this might be great for you. However, if you sneeze so much as thinking of grass and the outdoors, you should definitely pass.
