A bit ago, I went to get a facial. I listed dry skin as one of my concerns. The aesthetician took a look at my face and remarked that she didn’t think I had dry skin. I wonder if this is the product that fooled her. I had been using this Cle de Peau serum for a few weeks. Often, I used it with the moisturizers that had disappointed me most. And my skin looked amazing every morning. Regardless of how drying, how unmoisturizing those products were to me before. Maybe this is a wonder product.

Among the key benefits they list is intense hydration, and I must say that I vouch for that. I think this is how you get glass skin (if that’s still a trend). It was thick and coated my skin in a way that I presumed it would be enough on its own. And it was, my skin was perfectly moisturized even on those days when this was my last step. If I lived in a warmer and moister climate, I might consider skipping moisturizer completely if I had this in my routine. In addition to moisture, Cle de Peau claims this product will make your skin softer, smoother, and more supple. I was so focused on moisture that I wasn’t looking for these benefits, but I believe the claims.
Of course, I recommend this product. But if you prefer to have a matte look and are anti the glowy skin look, this might not be the product for you. As trends go, this will certainly have you leaning more towards a dewy skin look than the 90’s matte. And if you were looking for instant results to handle all your skin issues, you’ll be disappointed. Or perhaps if you don’t deal with dry skin, you might not notice its hydration effects so quickly as I did. But if you have dry skin and have trying to find a way to get your skincare to work better for you, this is a great step. And if it weren’t for my pension to constantly try new products, I would definitely want to stick with this line for three months to see how it transforms my skin.
Cle de Peau’s Serum is a big financial commitment, so I recommend you try and sample the product first if the price tag scares you. Use the website’s Store Locator feature (which I found at the bottom of the page) to discover where the product is available closest to you so you can get in store and try it for yourself. I previously tried this product for a week together with the brand’s Fortifying Emulsion with great results. But now, having tried it with products from other brands, I am hooked. To reduce costs, I believe you could definitely use this serum with a less expensive moisturizer that works for your skin and still see results.
At this point I have tried multiple products from Cle de Peau and am now firmly convinced it is worth high price point. The products are certainly among the most expensive, but they yield results. I truly believe that Cle de Peau’s serum is a case of you get what you pay for.
