Pure Rosewater from Chantecaille

A few quick spritzes of rose water onto my face. The scent alone is calming and brings me a sense of piece. When I first spritzed myself with the Eau de Rose de Mai from Chantecaille, I felt different. When I first tested the product, I would spray it on after as a last step in my evening skincare. I found my skin was more moisturized in the morning. It gave a little boost to a moisturizer that was almost perfect for me. Now, having fallen in love with the product at the travel size, I’ve invested in full bottle. My new routine is to use it as the first step in my morning routine. Well, after cleansing, it goes on the first layer to reset my skin. To be perfectly honest, I put on some on before writing this post. I can definitely tell the difference with how the moisturizer I’ve been testing feels on my skin.

Pure Rosewater

$80 for 100mL

You could look at the price tag and argue with me saying that all rose water is the same. And you know what, I don’t know enough to really argue back. What I will say is that all packaging is not. This bottle offers a fine mist that seems to indicate the sprayer has been perfectly calibrated for this one purpose. (And imagine Chantecaille would argue on behalf of their standards and the quality ingredients they use in this product. And of course, that this purchase helps support wildlife conservation efforts.)

I like this product and plan to replace it when it runs out. However, the price is steep for what definitely comes across as a bottle of water. I believe it is deceptively good and would recommend it if you are willing to spend the money. However, I am curious how other face mists, including cheaper rose water alternatives, would work for me.
