A quick review of the Tatcha Water Cream

A  quick review of the Water Cream from Tatcha. I didn’t like it. There, now that that’s out of the way here’s why. It is after all a water cream, so it is very light. Too light for my dry skin especially in the winter. Tatcha lists this product for all skin types, but let’s be real. This would be best for those with oily or combination skin, or really people who don’t want a heavy moisturizer. I imagine this is the alternative for those who don’t want the dewy look that they Dewy Skin Cream would produce. But it being wrong for my skin type aside, the texture presented another problem for me.

Tatcha Water Cream

$72 for 50 mL

I am not at all sure what was going on, but it was almost like the cream didn’t like my skin. As I tried to smooth it onto my skin, it was moving on top instead of working in. It was like the cream was balling up on itself and somersaulting around my face unless I got aggressive. Eventually I would work the cream between my fingers first and pat it onto my skin. Maybe it was a batch issue, because the people online are definitely not doing that. Or maybe it really didn’t like my skin and was repulsed by it. I guess I will never know, as I have no plans to rebuy this product.

Clearly I don’t personally like this product, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be great for you. If you have an oilier skin type and/or just want a lighter gel-like moisturizer, this might be a product you should try.
