J. Crew is working with Supercircle to take your old swimwear to make brand new pieces. From now to August 2024, the American retailer will accept your old bathing suits in return for a $5 credit to be used towards the purchase of new swimwear.
This solution helps to address a key problem in the clothing cycle- no one wants to buy anyone else’s old bathing suits. It can’t be resold on the secondary market. The best way to keep it out of the landfills is by using it to make new textiles.
If you have been trying to figure out a sustainable solution for what to do with your old swimwear, J Crew has you covered.
