When you think of the Equinox brand, you should conjure images a bougie, luxury gym. Now imagine that same brand developed a hotel property in Hudson Yards in Manhattan. That rich fitness lifestyle is going to be included into every stay. Here are all the fitness offerings at Equinox Hotel Hudson Yards.
In every room, there is a yoga mat, yoga blocks, and foam roller. The mini bar also includes fitness clothing from Rhone. My room had a couple of sizes of women’s leggings and men’s shirts available for purchases. I imagine you could ask the front desk for a wider selection, if the sizes or items you desired were not stocked in your room. After you work out, you can make use of their gym kit laundry service instead of packing your sweaty clothes into your luggage.

Speaking of that minibar, it includes a large array of fitness supplements. I noticed ocean water minerals, detoxes, electrolytes, and of course gummi candies for energy.
Of course, your fitness offering extend past your room to the on property gym. It would be unfair to compare this to other hotel gyms because it is a gym gym. Like an open to the public for membership gym. Of course it will have more equipment and offerings. But also, it makes staying on your regular fitness schedule a lot of easier because you have everything you could possibly need.
From the elevator, you will be greeted by the desk attendants. You will be prompted to check in and scan your key card. From there you can on your merry way to explore or take part in the available fitness classes. (You can also sign up for a class with the hotel concierge.)
My first morning I chose to take part in a barre class. I don’t remember the instructor’s name, but he was annoyingly funny, in a way that distracted me from the pain of the workout, but didn’t make me see him as a pain.

The next day, I decided to use the greater gym space. I had no fitness plans, so I opted to walk on a Woodway treadmill for a bit before trying out the Versa Climber. That thing was death. As I fought to catch my breath between sets, I noticed the treadmill screens in front of me played rotating screen savers with the available offers, including the American Express Platinum Equinox benefit.
The bathroom had a sauna and showers and a selection of Kiehl’s products and Dyson hair dryer. Other benefits included access to cold plunges and swimming pool.
There you have it, all you need to know about the fitness offerings. So if you are a dedicated gym goer traveling to new York, or just someone who wants the opportunity to explore more health options while on vacation, consider staying at the Equinox Hotel.
