If I were to describe New Look by Dior, I would say it smells like purple. My first thoughts were that it was maybe a spiced fruit, maybe a watered down ginger. No. Reading the fragrance notes it is actually aldehyde and amber. I get that. Yeah, that makes sense. That bit of sharpness could definitely be due to the aldehyde.
When I wore this out, no one commented on it, but I could smell it on myself. I got moderate wear out of this as it did fade after 5-6 hours.
I’m on the fence about this one. There is something about it that feels like I have smelled it before, but something that is very new to me. Maybe that is part of the new look. I kind of like it, but I’m not sure. I’m going to have to keep playing with this one.
