The Langham Hotel in Boston has two restaurants and also offers in room dining. Do wanna know what they’re like? Perfect. Here is a quick little review of what I tried.
First, breakfast at Grana I was dining alone, and the staff offered me a newspaper to read. I opted to read the Wall Street Journal as a I enjoyed my avocado toast. Yes, this is at this point a basic and boring breakfast item, but I was really there for aesthetic. It tasted good, too.

When I came back to Grana just a couple hours later after exploring the city, I decided to order the lobster cannoli. As a lover of crunchy food, I appreciated this interpretation of the lobster roll. The lobster was fresh and allowed to shine, instead of drowning in mayonnaise. The cannoli shells cracked easily. This was not so good for trying to eat the dish prim and proper with a fork, but it was satisfying as a finger food.

Some friends also in the city fancied getting together for a drink. I suggested The Fed. They ordered wine and a complicated mixed drink they memorized the recipe to. I ordered the Blood Orange Dieseler. The mocktail was a mixture of blood orange, rosemary, and grapefruit tonic. It made me question why I don’t use rosemary more often. We also ordered the Boston brown bread for the table. I was not a fan of that. It had bits in it that were off-putting to me, like a savory fruit cake.
Then later that night I enjoyed the in-room dining. I ordered the American burger with fries. The burger was okay. It was a tad pink, even though I asked for it well. It wasn’t steaming hot either. But the fries were delicious and hot.

I also ordered the dessert, the chocolate cube. It was great, but you will hate it if you one of those people who don’t like chocolate or are scared of delicious things.

From what small portion of the menus I tasted, I would recommend the restaurants at the Langham. I definitely was to go back to Grana to experience brunch and try a burger at the Fed. I suggest you give these places a try, too, the next time you’re in Boston.
