Omorovicza Midnight Renewal. I have been testing this product out for a few days. It is a retinal based product meant to be used overnight, during the time your skin is going through its natural renewal cycle. Retinal, not to be confused for retinol, is a potent version of Vitamin, that should help improve fine lines and wrinkles overtime. While I can’t speak to these longer-term results, I have some first impressions. Here are some quick bullet points in response to the two main claims
- Hydrate and plump: I tried this on its own, without following up with moisturizer. I actually found my skin seemed fairly plump hydrated in the morning. I did experience a very small dry patch. Everything else was fine.
- Non-irritating: I felt no stinging, no burning, no feeling of irritation of any kind. However, I have noticed more acne. I have read that retinol purging is a thing, whereby you can expect acne to worsen before getting better. However, for me, that is a big sign that my skin wants me to chill and stop using the offending product.
What are my thoughts, from this initial impression? I would say give this a try if you are interested in trying out a retinol product. Personally, I am interested in seeing how this product works for me over time, but I know that it would have to cut back on how often I would use it per week. Rather than using it every day, I would need to start slow, maybe using it only one day a week and building up the frequency.
I plan to learn more about retinal and retinol. Expect more on that to come.
