Dioriviera is the fragrance that has been haunting me all summer as I became more and more eager to try it. This 2023 summer release for Dior’s La Collection Privee was crafted by Francis Kurkdjian. The brand describes it as an interpretation of Christian Dior’s combined love for Paris and the French Riviera.
On my skin, it was soft and sweet and fruity. I find it so pleasant that I wish I had invested in a spray and I wasn’t left contemplating, “Should I just pour this all over myself?” I can’t say that I noticed the rose, but the fig, oh the fig. Something about this made me happy, with a self-assured sense of joy.
I believe this sat subtly next to my skin without much projection. No one commented on what scent I was wearing, and I don’t really care. I mean, I wish that everyone else around me had the chance to enjoy the fragrance I was wearing. However, I must say that I like that it lingered on me like a gentle hug, instead of going out on a rampage to choke everyone in my presence. I can’t really speak to the longevity either. I will have to go back test that out. Let’s be honest, this is just an excuse to wear the fragrance more.
I would buy this fragrance in a full bottle in a heartbeat. And the soap, lotion, body cream, and maybe a candle if they were make those things available. I’m also now on a journey to test out more fig fragrances, because Dioriviera has me convinced that it is my new favorite note.
