I had the Patchology Served Chilled Rosé face and eye masks sitting around, unused. And then I decided, why not treat my skin before I head out to dinner.
I put the eye mask on first. I had never used an eye mask before. It was a bit of a struggle to orient it on my face in a way that didn’t poke into my eye and yet was still on my eye area. I’m still not sure it I put it on right since it went below where I would have eye bags, but it was still close to where wrinkles and crow’s feet would be.

Next, I put on the face mask. There was a lot of serum in that little pouch. The mask was extremely saturated, downright dripping with serum, which is a good thing by the way. What I didn’t like was the mask itself. It is like a paper sheet in there. There was no backing on it to keep its shape in the pouch. It was a little difficult to unfold it without ripping it. Then as I put it on my face, I was concerned the mouth slot wouldn’t fit over my lips and then had to work it around to position it well. Once both masks were on, I went and sat still and read a book for 10 minutes as they did their work.

The instructions said not to do anything, that the serum would just absorb. Well ten minutes went by and then ten more minutes. My face was very moisturized, shiny, and slightly tacky. I continued to looked that way as the time wore on.
Before heading out the door, I put on a tiny bit of moisturizer on my hands and tried to work the product into my skin more. It was perhaps foolish to try a new mask right before dinner, but my new concern was whether not I would look ridiculous given how wet my face looked. (Spoiler, there were people in legit costumes at the restaurant. I was the least interesting sight.) When I got back. Face was still plump. I did just a very light cleanse and moisturize before bed. My face was still plump and well hydrated the next morning.
The only issue I had was a little tingling, possibly sensitivity on my upper lip. The rest of my face was fine. If I were to use it again (which is likely because I did like the results), I would use it on a night when I would be staying in so that the product could stay on my skin overnight. Or maybe in the morning when I want long lasting hydration. I will add that the mask is hyaluronic based and I used it during a humid summer day. I have fairly dry skin. Perhaps, trying this on different skin type and in a drier climate would be different experience.
I will say that I haven’t been disappointed my any of the Patchology products yet. I’m going to have to look more into the rest of their offerings. If you’re looking for a sheet mask that offers great hydration, maybe give this brand a try.
