I decided to test Cay Skin Isle Glow and Supergoop Glowscreen side by side. I’m making the assumption they will both equally protect by my skin from UV rays so this is about the “glow” they provide. Both have glow in their title. I got curious.

Isle Glow Face Lotion SPF 45: $34 for 1.5 oz
Isle Glow is formulated with a nude pearl glow (read sparkle). It gave me a golden finish but was otherwise sheer in appearance. As I said last week, I wasn’t too sure if I’d like the finish on my face. However, it wasn’t bad. I also found once it dried down, I didn’t have the issue with transfer the way I did previously.
Supergoop Glowscreen: $38 for 1.7 oz
Glowscreen was a different story. It is more a tinted sunscreen that comes in four colors. The color I used, sunrise, was definitely had too light a color for me . I find that I had to make sure that I worked it, because you could definitely tell if I hadn’t. I admit means I am less likely to miss a spot and thus will improve my sun protection. After doing my best to work it in. That said, I still looked like a ghostly tin man. The tone on it just wasn’t quite right for my skin tone. The other issue I noticed is that it started to pill if I continue to try and work the product in. Even with the cons of the Glow Screen, it was still more moisturizing than the Isle Glow, worked as a primer under foundation and could be used as just a highlighter.
Here’s I would use Isle Glow: to look like an island goddess on your holiday, with a golden hued glow and want to look
But until try more colors of the Glowscreen, I will personally use it as a highlighter or face primer with SPF.
But that’s just what I have to say about. I have dry skin and a warm undertone. The very reason I like or dislike a product could be the reason you feel the exact opposite. Look into both products and see which works best for you.
