Quick review of Fresh’s Rose Deep Hydration Cream + Why you should give products a second chance

Got a chance to test Fresh’s Rose Deep Hydration cream. Let’s jump in immediately. I actually liked this I only used it for a few days, but I found it to be sufficiently moisturizing without being too greasy. The real reason I was interested in trying this was because I tried it before, but I gave it a second chance.

Fresh rose and hyaluronic acid deep hydration moisturizer

$46 for 50 mL

Rose and hyaluronic acid double team to lock in moisture in your skin

To be honest, the first time around trying this I was disappointed. It was thin, I didn’t feel like it really did anything for me, and that made me distrust the entire rose line from Fresh. The cream itself today is much thicker than I remember. I was curious if they changed the formula. I only found one blog referring to a reformulation and a Facebook post Fresh Singapore marking 365 days of the reformulation.

A large portion of the time I first used this product, I was in a colder and drier climate. That likely played a role in why I didn’t like it. I believe that when you choose skincare, you have to think not just about your skin type but also the climate where you are. As an example, I have found that when I personally use hyaluronic acid in drier climates, it doesn’t go well for me.

I would say, rather than just directing you towards trying this product, I want to encourage you to give products a second chance.

If it has been a few years since you’ve used something, chances are the formula may have changed. Brands are consistently updating things and changing formulas. This is also why, if you are sensitive or allergic to anything, why you should always read the label. Even if you buy the product every week. You might like newer batches more or less. They may have added ingredients that are better or worse for your skin. If you don’t like a product, give it a few years and give it a new try.

Allow yourself to curious and allow your skincare nemeses a shot at redemption. They might surprise you.
