Respect for the Water Drench Moisturizer from Peter Thomas Roth

I have to admit I was biased when I decided to try the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer. I saw that they promoted hyaluronic acid as the key ingredient. For some reason a lot products that have it as the top ingredient in their marketing end being horrible for my dry skin. I rolled my eyes and assumed this would have me waking up with dry patches on my face, but I put it to the test nonetheless.

Light cream boosted with patented a Pentavitin formula to boost hydration

After washing my face that night with my oil cleanser, I took a pea-sized amount and smoothed it over my face. It was a very light consistency, which made me all the more sure that my face would be dry and tight in a mere minutes. But that didn’t come to pass. My skin was still moisturized. And then the next day, no dry patches either.

The next night, I used a harsher cleanser, that was even more drying to my skin, then I followed up with the moisturizer. Even lower hopes, but again, my skin fared well. It wasn’t amazingly plump, but so much better than I thought it would be. I also appreciated that my skin didn’t look greasy. This was the result I had gotten used to when using my current dewy cream. I just assumed I was going to be stuck looking that way just to avoid having dry skin.

I was impressed, but I would like to try the rich version of the formulation and the sunscreen. And the rest of their products, since this was the first time I ever tried anything from the brand. I am also aware that I tested this now, when it is almost officially summer. I don’t know how this will treat me when it is dry and cold out, but I will cross that barrier when the season comes.

If you are also looking for a moisturizer for your dry skin that won’t make you look greasy, give this one a try.
