You already know that you should be wearing sunscreen everyday, right? Good. Personally, I have been using Supergoop for some time now. I found it while looking for “clean” products and decided to give the brand a try. Here is a quick review of a few of their products, from the perspective of my dry skin.
Superscreen Daily Moisturizer: $44 for 50 mL My holy grail. A good daytime moisturizer that just happens to have sunscreen in it. I apply it liberally (as you should if you want your sunscreen to do its job), and then my face is dewy, well moisturized. But, because I was wearing face coverings during the day, and I went through winter, I found I wanted something else to boost it so I didn’t end the day with tight, dry skin.
Daily Dose Hydra-Ceramide Boost: $46 for 30 mL Great on its own if the weather isn’t particularly dry, even better as a layer underneath the Superscreen. Just be careful when putting it on. At times I went too far and could feel the oil slowly sliding down my face and stinging my eyes. Not a pleasant experience.
Unseen Screen: $38 for 50 mL Something that I keep in my gym bag, mostly just because of the convenience of the container. After I wipe the sweat off my face, I just put it on as a layer of sun protection. The problem for me is that it is not hydrating for my skin. If you have oily skin or just need a sunscreen for under makeup, this should work.
(Re)setting mist: $34 for 100 mL Whew, buddy. I am sure this is great, but I am still trying to figure out how to apply this without inhaling it afterwards. I think this would work great as a way to refresh your sun protection later in the day and you either don’t want to touch your face or mess up your makeup. I just could get the hang of it.
SPF Bestsellers Starter Kit: A great way to try multiple products from the brand. I recommend this as the place you start.
That’s it. I’ve been using the brand for years. I can’t help but recommend you give it go if you are looking for a new sunscreen.
