I just finished using the Dior Capture Totale Cell Energy Super Potent Rich Crème Sigh, I have to admit up front, I was not consistent using it. Over that period of time, I struggled with keeping to a good routine. I wasn’t even washing my face properly. I know. I am sorry to have disappointed you. For that reason, I can’t give great feedback on all of the results claimed. I can, however, speak to how well it moisturized my skin.
As I was preparing this review, I was writing things like this, “That was fine…. It didn’t wow me.” For some reason, I had it in mind that this was just a take it or leave it product. But as I started typing, I started to realize that maybe we have something here, something I could really have benefited from if I had used it consistently over a longer period of time.
I used this product in conjunction the accompanying serum on most of the days, and the moisturizer on its own others to get a good idea of how it worked. I thought the product wasn’t really doing much for me and was prepared to say as such. But looking up the benefits of the line, I went back to study my face. My pores are actually much less visible. Well done, Dior. Well done. And I have dry skin. Something I always look for when reviewing products is whether or not I have dry spots or flaking in the morning after a nighttime application With this one, I am realizing now I had zero issues with dryness. There were days that I used it alone and also didn’t experience any dryness.

So why did I feel so unimpressed before I thought more deeply?
I think I am thrown off my how lightweight it is. I am used to the only moisturizers that really work for me being thick. The serum was a very thin liquid. This moisturizer was more like lotion. I am used to products with textures like that not being great for my skin. I guess I am wrong.
Now, I will bring up a couple of issues. I did experience irritation a couple of days on a particularly sensitive part of my nose. I still experienced acne. And I did not notice improvement in dark spots. This was not a perfect, skincare miracle experience.
But I would try this again and give the line a chance to deliver on the promised results. If you also have dry skin, try it out for yourself and see what you think. If you are normal to oily and are looking for an anti-aging moisturizer, I am excited for you to try this out for yourself. Me on the other hand, I will be mindful of my biased perceptions and take care to make notes and take pictures to ensure I am giving you all a thorough and honest review.
