Last week I reviewed Milk, by Commodity, and scent that is new to me and one that I am thoroughly enjoying. This week, I am going over a way for you to try more of what the house has to offer, their scent exploration kit.
In the Exploration Kit, you will get their 6 fragrances in each of the space versions. Now, you will likely notice, there are multiple versions of their samplers. You could very well just get the Personal version, or the Expressive, or just the Bold. But I am writing to you today to highly suggest you get the full discovery kit that includes all of the levels of each fragrance. Yes, even if you know you don’t want your fragrance to be loud. Even if you know for a fact that you want your fragrance to get in the room before you do. Get the full kit. Here’s why.

Commodity Exploration Kit$42 for 18 2mL spray vials
My experience trying these out is that it each of the variations aren’t really about shifting based on projection. It is more about a difference in notes. I think you can choose to modify projection based on how you spray it. And because they add additional notes to the various versions, you might prefer the smell of the different scent versions.
Admittedly, I enjoyed all of the versions of Milk. All of them. But, I preferred moss expressive to moss bold from a notes perspective. They smelled different. I preferred paper bold to paper expressive. So don’t think that if you love a bold fragrance that is direction you have to go, because you might be missing out on trying a version you would prefer, just because of how it is named. And if you, like me, don’t have a body chemistry that works well with Iso-E Super, you might not like the way many of the personal scents (and some of the expressive) smell on you. Or I guess, it could go the other way in the opposite situation. But you won’t know that unless you try them all.
If you want to try something from Commodity, I highly recommend you get the full scent exploration kit and play around with all of them to find your new favorite.
