Experiencing Nest New York Fragrance Oils

For my trip to New Orleans, I took with me some fragrance oils from Nest New York. For one, they are smaller bottles, which help with packing for travel, and I just wanted to try something new.

Nest New York Fragrance Oils

$98 for 30 mL

$35 for 6mL

Right now I am wearing Madagascar Vanilla. The vanilla is blended with coconut to give it more of a tropical vibe. I also tested out Turkish Rose and Seville Orange. I appreciate that the scents are very straightforward. They are simple. What it says on the bottle is what you will smell. You smell good without having to worry about offending people with a scent that is very “different.” And this is what I’m looking for when I am figuring out what to wear before I get on a plane. You should think I smell nice and move on. I don’t want you thinking, “Oh God, that is strong. How many hours is this flight?”

One thing I noticed on me personally is that these fragrances just didn’t project out. Or perhaps no one noticed/cared that I was wearing fragrances. This might also be because of how dry my skin tends to be. I probably just would need to apply a lot more. And potentially a heavier moisturizer ahead of time so my skin doesn’t just absorb it all.

The rollerball is easy to apply throughout the day, and the size is small enough to keep in bag. However, because it is just based on Baobab oil, you really need to make sure it is fully absorbed by your skin, so you don’t end up with oil stains on your clothes.

One extra benefit that I find is that the application method makes it a more personal experience. Something about rollerball fragrances remind me to take a moment to care for myself. You can’t just spray and go. You have to intentionally rub the product on to your skin. It can mean taking a moment to recenter and attach an intention to the scent for the day.

If you are interested in trying a fragrance oil, I recommend you give these a try. And if you want even more of a coconut scent, you can try the Balinese Coconut fragrance oil, which is available now.
