First impressions of Prada’s Infusion D’iris

Alright, alright. Time to talk about Prada. This is my first impression of Prada’s Infusions D’iris. It is the signature scent in their line, Les Infusions de Prada.

Prada

Infusion d’iris

$160 for 100mL

Key notes: Iris palladia, neroli, and mandarin

I found it to feel like a powdery clean scent. Or at least that is how it came across to me when it was on my skin. (I am still on my journey to tune my nose for fragrances.) Prada does describe it as a crisp linens and naked skin. So, I am on to something by calling it clean.

I think it is especially interested that I didn’t find myself noticing it throughout the day. That is likely only interesting to me because normally when fragrances have a hint of neroli, I notice, and I regret it. Maybe it has to do with it being an iris forward fragrance.

When I received this sample, I had no idea whether it was marketed towards men or women. Honestly, it is hard for me to tell based on the smell who it would be pushed towards. I feel like anyone could wear it, for a day when they just want to smell freshly showered.

Would I wear it again? Absolutely. I didn’t find it to be offensively strong, and no one around me seemed to notice I was wearing it either. It seems great for when I just want to smell nice, when I am not necessarily trying to get everyone to notice me as soon as (or before) I walk in to the room.

As always, I suggest you try it or yourself. If you do, let me know what you think.
