Full disclosure, I have no clear plan for today’s post. I guess, it would be good to add a light.

Literally.

When I was searching for gifts, I came across the brand Homesick Candles. It was great, because at the time scents from home seemed like the perfect present for the recipient. But then I noticed that they had occasions.as well.

With a name like Homesick, you can expect scents that evoke the qualities of different places. So you light the candle and be transported back to your hometown or to your favorite destination. They also have scents for moments and celebrations. You could also reminisce about your wedding day or a hiking trip. (Or perhaps light a candle and pray for a new job.) Personally, after using them for gifts, I decided to get one myself. I find the scent throw is pretty good.  

There’s only two issues. The first is that the glass collects quite a bit of soot. I do recognize that might be helped with trimming the wick regularly. The second it is a soy wax blend candle, but I can’t find any information about what that blend entails. If it is important to you avoid paraffin or other waxes, make sure to reach out the company for more information.

I would repurchase, maybe choosing some tropical place I’d like to visit. I will say right now they are doing a special Star Wars collaboration now. If you want your house to smell like Endor, or set an ambience to watch the shows and movies, now’s your chance.
