My experience with the Hair Revitalizing Complex from Augustinus Bader

I bought the Hair Revitalizing Complex from Augustinus Bader because I had reached my breaking point. After a long battle with health issues, I noticed that my hair has thinned considerably, especially around the front. I started to get self-conscious because I could look in the mirror and see the devastation that was my once full hairline. I started panicking about the amount of shed hair I saw on wash day. Then, after trying multiple remedies, I decided to make a major investment in taking back (or rather growing back my hair).

(Be aware; because this is a supplement, I recommend you consult with your doctor first. If you are experiencing hair loss, it could be a symptom of a condition that needs medical attention. You also need to make sure that it won’t cause any side effects when combined with any medicines you might already be taking. I personally continue to work through my own health journey. Make sure you are keeping tabs on your own.)

The Hair Revitalizing Complex

$125 for a 30 day supply in container

$95 for refill pack

My awareness of Augustinus Bader hair products started with the scalp serum, after noticing it on the Net-a-Porter site. (Review on that is coming tomorrow.) Then when I looked up the brand on the Nordstrom page, I saw the brand had developed a supplement specifically targeted towards healthier hair. So, I did my usual deep dive into looking up the product and looking for reviews. All that I saw were the testimonials from the company. I didn’t really see any reviews. All I saw were a bunch of beauty sites just telling you that it was a thing. They hadn’t tried it for themselves. If you are also curious to learn more about the product, I am here to help. Hopefully, my experience will help you decide whether or not you want to try the product for yourself.

As I mentioned, I bought the product from Nordstrom, as I saw they carried it in-store. The brand takes luxury seriously. It comes well packaged, in a blue glass jar with an aluminum (just some metal) lid. Each jar contains 90 capsules. As you are supposed to take 3 per day, it is just a 30 day supply.

When I read the results on the Augustinus Bader site, all of it was based on 3 months of use; I had to make a commitment. I chose to take this in place of my regular multivitamin for 90 days. I made no other changes to my regimen. I also did not use the scalp serum during this time. This is my update after having taken 90 servings. I write it that way, because it took me slightly longer than 3 months because I didn’t always remember to take it. What were my results you ask?

Are my edges now full and luscious? No, no they are not. Do I now have enviably long hair? No, not that either. However, I have noticed that my hair is not shedding nearly as much, and I will take that. I looked back and pictures I took. Comparing my hair to today, I don’t really see much of a difference. But at least it has stopped getting worse. I signed up for the auto-refill and am curious about how my hair will fare after 6 months, 9 months, and then 12 months of use. If I remember to do so, I will add updates (and maybe a comparison photo).

You might be thinking, “You just said you didn’t notice any regrowth. Why are you still paying for this thing?” Because it is a vitamin. Everything I read about supplements points to the need to use it over the long term to see the true results. I know very little about anatomy and biological systems, but for whatever reason, it takes time to see results. The length of time necessary can differ from person to person. I believe it is possible that whatever the nutrients need to do in my body will need more time. I know that quite a bit of repair needs to happen before my scalp feels like doing the extra work of growing new hairs.

As vitamins go, it is certainly expensive. As I mentioned, I purchased the first jar at Nordstrom. That will run you $125. After I bought my first bottle, I got the next two during a gift with purchase event at Nordstrom, which helped me maximize my spend. Then I noticed you can buy directly from Augustinus Bader and get a refill pack for $95. Then, you get even more savings if you sign up for auto-refill. It makes the 30 day supply just $76, markedly cheaper than buying jar after jar. If you are interested in saving money, and don’t care about the branded jar, you should be fine with the refill pack as it is resealable. I personally signed up for the regular delivery as I continue to see what this product will do for me.

If you are interested, I highly recommend you do more research of your own and then potentially try it for yourself.
