When I first started getting into fragrances, I watched videos from The Eva Monroe. I saw her review of One Umbrella for Two from Floraiku. Being someone who had never heard of anything other fragrances from fashion houses at the time, I was intrigued. Plus, the bottle was beautiful. I decided that I definitely wanted to smell their fragrances myself. I was happy when I received a sample of One Umbrella for Two in one of my Net-a-Porter orders. And then, I was hooked. I later went on to their site and ordered a discovery set to experience more of what the brand had to offer.

Before we get into any of the scents, I just want to say, the packaging is stunning. I definitely put a bow on top and then presented it to myself as a gift. With a name like Floraiku, you may not be surprised that each scent has a complimentary haiku. I mean their tagline is “Fragrance as poetry.”

The set contains 11 scents from the brand, all in 1.5 mL vials. I want you to discover them for yourself, so I’ll just give you two of the scents that intrigued me.

The Moon and I- My first thought: “Is that tea? Like a sweetened green tea. That I would definitely drink?” Not very long lasting on me, but I definitely enjoyed it while it was there.
Description from the site: The Moon and I, a combination of Mate absolute, Matcha Tea extract and Cedarwood oil is a rich and smoky black tea scent. Profound and bright as the moon can be.

One umbrella for two- The scent that started by fascination. I sprayed this on myself at 2 PM and it was still going strong at 1 AM while I was still awake because I had procrastinated on important tasks. Getting a whiff of it then was a nice surprise. “Lychee? That’s lychee, right?” I would find out later it was certainly not lychee.
Description from the site: One Umbrella for Two, a sweet, fruity and gourmand Blackcurrant absolute encounters a Genmaicha Tea extract and a Cedarwood oil to form a perfect matching trio.
If you have never tried the brand, I highly recommend you try it out with a discovery set or a selection of samples. The set is not available on Net-a-Porter right now, but you can get the version I got and the second version on the Floraiku site. If you do that, you will get a $40 voucher to use on a future purchase.
