If you are not living under a rock, in a remote village, or on a technology-free commune, chances are that you have heard mention of Baccarat Rouge 540 from Maison Francis Kurkdijan. The sophisticated sweet scent, which was already much loved in the fragrance community has since gotten even more fans after some TikTok virality. However, chances are you haven’t heard of many other scents from the fragrance house. Well, please stand and introduce yourself to Aqua Universalis Cologne Forte, a fresh unisex scent with a mix of citrus and white florals.

Top notes: Italian bergamot, Damascena rose
Mid notes: White flower accord
Base notes: White Musk
I sprayed it on my skin on the way out to work in the morning and on to paper. On my skin, the citrusy bergamot came forward, whereas it was much more balanced with the floral notes on paper. Hours later, it still had a faint scent on my skin, with the musk notes more pronounced, but some citrus still shining through. Of course the paper still smelled very strongly as well, leaning towards the white flowers and musk by then.
Would I recommend this to you? Depends. What is your budget like? Do you like clean fresh scents? Do you need a projection monster? If the order of your answers is 1. The moon, 2. Yes, and 3. Not really, then I recommend you giving this a try. But of course, I always recommend you trying things out for yourself on your skin anyway.
