I feel that I have to always preface my reviews of fragrances with my shortcomings. First and foremost, I have a subpar sense of smell. I am working on developing my nose, but bear with me in the meantime. The second thing is that I am constantly dealing with sinus issues, which is probably why I have a horrible sense of smell. So, take whatever I say and place it under that lens. Okay, now to the review
I got a sample of this fragrance and was curious to try. I wanted to be surprised by it and give my honest opinion without being swayed. I didn’t look anything up. I didn’t read any notes beforehand. I just sprayed it. As I sniffed it off my skin, I thought, “Hmm, that seems like a fruity floral.” Nailed it. Score 1 for my inferior nose. And the notes? No idea. So here is what the brand had to say.
They describe it as a fruity floral, with top notes of orange essence and kiwi accord. (I have no idea what that means. Never in my life have I detected a fragrance, or even much flavor to be honest, when biting into a kiwi. I have no idea what it smells like on its on. What does a kiwi smell like? Who ever thought to themselves, “Kiwi smells amazing. I want to smell like that. I wish someone could bottle that up so I could wear it.”)
In the heart, or the mid notes, are an Indian Jasmine super infusion and a rose accord. At the base, are musk and ambrette seeds.
I sprayed on paper and on skin at roughly 7 am. Then at about 9 AM, it has faded on my skin to be leaning much more heavily on the floral, while on paper, the fruity notes still prevailed. Okay, in truth, on skin there was a sweetness still coming from the fruit. Then a few hours later, it was gone. I wore it again for a couple of days, and I had the same experience. Just a few hours of wear before it faded to only be smelled if I stuck my nose on my wrist and tried to inhale my skin.
I will say, I never felt like it was projecting off my skin in way for others to notice. Or maybe no one felt the need to remark at how good I smelt. Or maybe I should have sprayed it heavier, or made sure to get some of the scent on my clothes. But I will admit, I am dealing with sinus issues, so I could have been a lot more fragrant that I thought I was.
I wore it again for a This does feel lighthearted and fun. It to me is a more casual fragrance. This is something I feel like I can wear in the day time to lunch. Perhaps if I work in a lighthearted casual office, this will work. I don’t believe it is so strong that it will upset coworkers.
I think it is interesting that I have seen others refer to it as a bold or sensuous fragrance. In my experience wearing it I just felt pretty. If I were to think if I were to make the investment and get a bottle, then those would be the times I would wear it. When I need a little pick-me up, to feel beautiful, on the way out for a quick errand. If you like fruity florals and don’t want a projection monster, I recommend you give it a try for yourself.
