Brand Spotlight: AGR- Celebs and Collabs

This is (probably) the last in my series focused on AGR. So how did this start? With a dream of a technicolor coat (technicolor dream coat?) I had no business wanting. Where would I wear it and in what winter? I was so tempted to add to cart. I still kind of regret that I didn’t buy it. (Luckily chance #2 is here because it is on sale at Net-a-Porter.) It’s pieces like that that AGR is known for, items that allow you to blend into a desert rave, have fun at Carnival, but certainly stand out amongst people trying to live just regular lives.

I’m definitely not the only one to have taken notice. Celebrities, artists, and brands alike have connected with the brand. Below is just a few of the celebrities and partnerships I have found.

The Daily Mail captured a picture of Lewis Hamilton in a look that appears awfully a lot like FW22.

Burna Boy wore a sweater in the “Ginger” music video with WizKid.

Anderson.Paak wore a face mask from the brand throughout his “Lockdown” music video.

Heidz the Artist was invited to style the SS22 looks at the Browns Brook Street location.

Brand Collaborations

In December of 2021, AGR put on an event with Nike called Nike By You. It took place at NikeTown London. In the experience, Nike members were able to get limited edition product that had been upcycled by Alicia Robinson. This meant Nike materials that may have originally destined for trash were altered to become one-of-a-kind pieces in the hands of the AGR founder. The experience also featured a talk Robinson on the topics of sustainability in fashion.
