When the Co-Vid 19 pandemic first began, I like many people started to wear face coverings regularly. I found in doing so, my skin started to get irritated. When I applied my usual face products, they stung. No it was not just proof that it was working. This was something new. Even though it was supposed to be gentle, it wasn’t soothing enough for the current state of my skin. As I looked for alternatives, I started trying discovery sets from different brands, which then led me to splurge and try Tata Harper. I kinda wish I hadn’t, but I’m also glad I did. It was the first time in a while that my skin felt soothed.

The set I tried was the Tata Harper Daily Essentials Kit. It included these products:
– 0.5 oz/ 15 mL Regenerating Cleanser- This is a cleanser with a physical exfoliant. I liked it, but for my skin it was a bit much for everyday use. I shifted to using it just a couple of times a week or when my skin just seemed like it could use a bit more exfoliating
– 0.25 oz/ 7.5 mL Resurfacing Mask- I LOVED how this made my skin look. I can’t really explain it. I just felt like I looked better, like there was a glow afterward. And my skin felt softer as well.
– 0.5 oz/ 15 mL Hydrating Floral Essence- I struggle with sprays, essences, mists. I know there this is a point to them, else they wouldn’t be developed. I just don’t know how to use this one in particular. Did it help? I have no idea.
– 0.33 oz/ 10 mL Rejuvenating Serum and the – 0.33 oz/ 10 mL Reparative Moisturizer- These were great. They did not irritate my skin, but I could tell I needed more moisture.
– 0.1 oz/ 3 mL Replenishing Nutrient Complex- In my set, it was called a retinoic face oil. Another thing I am not sure how to use. It came in a roller ball form. Was I suppose to roll it on my face? Should I have rolled it on my hands and then applied? I’m not sure. But since this was the most fragrant thing, I wasn’t too interested in making it work, and it just became a cuticle oil for me.
On the Sephora site, it says this is for all skin types, but I don’t believe that’s true. I think these particular products would be better for you if you have oily to combination skin. They are light and not too heavy. My skin never was so dry that it was flaky, but I just knew it could have been better. (Hmm, I bet this is why I was supposed to use the mist.)
Tomorrow, I will post about the products I decided to get full sizes off, which will be a much more thorough review.
If you’re interested in this set, you can get it from Tata Harper, Sephora, and other online retailers.
